August Dinner Club: Wine Tasting Theme - White

 

Hostess: Paprika - Gewurztraminer and White Dessert
Saucy - Sauvignon Blanc and White Appetizer
Coucous - Semillon and White Appetizer
Grapes - Pinot Grigio and White Appetizer

July Dinner Completed

Well another successful dinner group can go into the books! We missed our friend, Saucy; however Paprika, Couscous and I were able to make a delicious meal of SANDWICHES!!

Paprika made these gorgeous and delicious Grilled Veggie Sammies. Roasted onion, zucchini and tomato stuffed the inside of grilled Italian and French breads. The accompanying goat cheese spread brought the sandwich together. YUM!!! These sandwiches were soo good that you forgot they were healthy!

I, Grapes, made Gourmet Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. Comfort food at it's finest I might add. :) Sourdough bread filled with Smoked Cheddar and Gruyere cheese, slice of Granny Smith Apple, bacon and a roasted red onion spread.

Couscous finished our meal with a decadent Meringue Raspberry Sorbet Sandwich. Layered between 2 sheets of baked meringue was a fabulous homemade raspberry sorbet. Couscous put her heart and soul, and about 4 hours into making this dessert and it was well worth it. Well I think so anyway.

So another dinner group is in the books. Stay tuned for AUGUST when we hope that we have our dear friend Saucy back to enjoy Wine night!!
