July Dinner Club W.I.T.

Upcoming Dinner: July

Hostess: Grapes

Theme: Picnic
MAY DINNER RECAP

A tisket a tasket, a green and yellow basket.....

and what did everyone bring to the Mother Goose themed dinner???

Saucy "Had A Little Nut Tree", so she brought pears with goat cheese, nutmeg and spices!
Whole pears stuffed.

Sliced pears marinated.

Her wine of choice....Jacob's Creek Shiraz!

Paprika met a "Farmer in the Dell" and brought the lonely cheese in a brie and herb baked bread!

She also brought a theme wine....Once Upon a Vine

Couscous's entree was courtesy of "Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater".  And we all loved the pumpkin ravioli in browned sage butter.

Grapes fortunately "Met a Pie Man" on her way to dinner and brought banana and chocolate cream pie.

We are taking a break for the month of June, but check back in July when we load up our baskets once again and go on a picnic!!!

May Dinner Club  W.I.T.

Upcoming Dinner:  May
Hostess:  Couscous
Theme:  Mother Goose Rhymes
APRIL DINNER CLUB

Here comes HONEY!

No, not that Honey!  This Honey:

Saucy's sweet inspiration for her dinner theme was this jar of honey she picked up in Florida
but we will get to this a bit later.

First, her bee-utiful decorations
Beeswax Candle
Inspiring statements to "be"

and napkin holders and Honey Almond Butter favors!

Grapes "bee"gan the evening with a honey whiskey cocktail that was smooth and sure to cure any potential colds.  We may want to get sick, just to have more of this!!

We then "dipped" into her Champagne-Honey fondue with apples, bread and carrots!

Couscous kept the evening "buzzing" with an edamame salad with a honey ginger dressing

and she made an attempt at an Outback style honey wheat bread and honey butter.  The butter was yum, but the homemade bread left something to be desired!

Couscous wine of choice was "The Bees" Les Abeilles by Jean-Luc a red wine in which proceeds go to Honey Bee Research

Saucy was the "queen" of the evening with her mouth-watering honey teriakyi glazed chicken and salmon that she prepared on the grill.

Sadly, Paprika couldn't join the "hive" of activity at dinner club, but she did send over her labor-intensive baklava!!  It was the bee's knees!!

Check back next time
when we will all pick a rhyme
and fix a course that will be sublime!
